BEAUTY FROM CANADA
CC: How long have you been modeling?
CC: Do you see yourself as an international model?
DH: That’s a difficult question to answer. I have made contact with superb artists from around the world with whom I would love to work, however, being that I’ve not yet left North America on a strict ‘business trip’, I wouldn’t feel comfortable with the label of ‘international model’ quite yet. I travel across Canada often (in fact, I am about to embark on a cross-country roadtrip within the month), so at this point I can boast nation-wide interest, but that’s where it must remain until I get some paperwork done, haha.
CC: What’s the best experience you ever had?
DH: Oh boy – that’s a very difficult question to answer. With nearly 300 photoshoots in the past couple of years, it would be impossible to choose just one, however I’ve had some fantastic opportunities to travel to beautiful places and explore locations barred to the public. I would probably have to say that my trip to Joshua Tree National Park in California was probably one of my all-time favourite photoshoots due to the fact that we were the only people for miles, and the silence was otherworldly. It was peaceful and alien – and the photos turned out incredibly well!
CC: What are your ambitions?
DH: I want nothing more than to lead a happy, healthy life surrounded by great people, and to acquaint myself with new, interesting people each day – to be something of a positive role-model, I suppose. To experience new places and new opportunities is part of what makes my job so great, and it’s all I can ask for.
CC: How is life in Toronto, Canada?
DH: Life in Toronto is great! It’s such a busy city, something is always going on! It’s considered one of the top modeling locations in the world, so I’m very blessed to have been born only an hour from the city – there is so much opportunity in Toronto that it was easy to follow my dreams.
CC: What’s your favorite movie?
DH: There’s a tough one. I have to go with one of three – which I love most, I cannot decide. American Beauty, Dumb and Dumber or Children of Men. Incredible movies.
